author

Monica Molenaar is a serial entrepreneur, seasoned business leader, and dedicated advocate for transparent, evidence-based solutions in women's health and wellness. She is the Co-Founder and Co-CEO of Alloy Women's Health, a rapidly growing telehealth platform launched in 2021 that delivers personalized, science-backed care for perimenopause and menopause, including online consultations, hormone therapy, skincare innovations, and community support to close critical gaps in midlife women's healthcare.

At age 40, Monica discovered she carried the BRCA gene mutation, prompting her to undergo preventive ovary removal—a decision that led to sudden surgical menopause. After struggling to find reliable information and knowledgeable, helpful doctors, she finally experienced transformative relief through hormone therapy. This personal journey inspired her to "fix menopause" for herself and others by co-founding Alloy, ensuring other women, now and future generations, have easier access to credible, expert resources, caring and responsive doctors, safe solutions, and a supportive community.

A proven entrepreneur, Monica previously launched ventures including a scheduling app for parents and Seed + Mill, a retail, online, and wholesale business specializing in artisanal sesame-based products. She is a prominent thought leader on hormones, aging, longevity, and women's health equity, having spoken at high-profile events such as the World Economic Forum in Davos and SXSW London. In 2025, she was recognized by Women's Health magazine as one of 20 experts redefining longevity and healthspan for women, named to Forbes' 50 Over 50 list, and chosen as one of Stanford Graduate School of Business’ Centennial Alumni Catalysts.

Monica is a born and raised New Yorker who currently lives in Rotterdam, The Netherlands, with her husband and two college-aged sons.
